Meander line antenna design with parasitic element was investigated. The overall antenna design structure referred to the UTeM logo. This antenna has been designed to operate at 2.4GHz which are specified by IEEE 802.11b/g for WLAN. The antenna designed has been done for both microstrip and planar type. Microwave Studio CST Microwave Office software was used for the simulation processed. The antenna was fabricated on a double-sided FR-4 printed circuit board using an etching technique and SMA connector for the feed port. Then, the design has been measured with the Agilent Network Analyzer. The comparison between simulation and measurement results for the return loss and radiation patterns were presented. The Planar UTeM Antenna has a gain of 3dB, with a frequency bandwidth of 70MHz.en_US
