The purpose of this project is to design and build a prototype wave powered electric generator. The working principle of this generator and the components to build this generator are quite simple. A small prototype wave electric generator, design for 2 - 12V has been built. The component in building the generator is a coil as generator, is field a permanent magnet, Perspex and buoy. This prototype should be having a good winding at a coil and sensitivity of permanent magnet should be strong. A good winding at a coil mean every coil need to have a good number of turn winding and should be smooth from overlapping of copper wire winding with each other. The overlapping between coil winding make the voltage of the coil will be reduce. Besides that, the overlapping will make the coil become heating and sometime the winding will be broken. After tested this prototype, the result show up this prototype can produce the voltage between 5 – 10V. The objective to design and build this prototype now can be achieved the target. Future development of this kind of generator is potential to replace our existing generation of electricity using fossil fuels. It will reduce global warning and pollution. Besides that this concept to build this prototype should be able to apply to make a real wave powered generator.en_US
