dc.description.abstractIt is compulsory to every undergraduate student to take Final Year Project (FYP) subject. In doing so, each student will be given project‟s title and a supervisor for monitoring purpose. Currently, School of Computer and Communication Engineering (SCCE) do not own a specific system to allocate project‟s title to the students. The process of selecting titles of the project and reservation quota are time consuming as it needs to go through some certain level of details procedures. Therefore, the aim of this project is to design an algorithm that be used and implemented in the web portal system. The design of web portal system is to meet the demand of supervising, monitoring and controlling process among coordinators, supervisors and students. In this work, the web portal allowed supervisors proposed project‟s title online and then will be chosen by students. Additionally, this project allows coordinators monitoring the flow of the FYP‟s activities overall through online. This project also has proposed an algorithm that can be implemented in assigning project‟s title to students using merit system. The sorting algorithm to allocate titles had selected to implement in this project which able to produce selection based on student‟s CGPA. The algorithm was able to ensure that each student got one of their six preferred titles.en_US
