    Abstract
Study of Machining Parameter of Wire Electrical Discharge of Nickel-Base Alloys using Response Surface Method (RSM) had been done in this project. WEDM machine that use for this project is SODICK AQ327L that located at Automart Teaching Factory, Kuala Perlis. The WEDM machine process is a consequence electrical field produced when two electrodes subjected to a voltage and submerged in a dielectric fluid, positive ions and electrons are accelerated, producing a discharge channel that become conductive. Then, firstly is to measure Material Removal Rate (MRR) and Surface Roughness (Ra) using the values that obtained from experiment. The cutting parameter is Voltage (V), Peak Current (A), Wire Speed (mm/min) and Wire Tension (N) to cutting the provided material. Secondly, model that to measured maximize MRR and minimize Surface Roughness (Ra) will be analyze using Design Expert Software by Response Surface Method. Comparison of calculated and measured value of maximum and minimum allowed us to obtain the efficiency of WEDM system for cutting process. Confirmation test have been done to confirm the value that predicted using Design Expert Software. The confirmation test for MRR and Ra was using by the setting of Voltage 4.0 V, Peak Current 6.0 A, Wire Speed 110 mm/min and Wire Tension 160 N. The MRR value that obtained from experimental result for MRR was 0.11 mm³/sec and for Ra was 2.236 µm. Error within 10% was allowed.
