    Abstract
The commonly problem for milled product is quality of surface roughness. Therefore, the important step is with choice the correct cutting parameter to get the result or to obtain desired surface finish. This project was conducted using Taguchi method for the purpose of obtaining the optimum cutting parameters in CNC milling. This milling process will be carrying using CNC Milling process, Spinner (Brand), VC810 (Model). The cutting parameters of this experiment have been chosen including type of cutting tool, cutting speed (rpm), feed rate (mm/tooth) and depth of cut (mm). The material used in this milling process is aluminium. The Design of Experiment (DOE) technique is used to analyze every parameter data with using Taguchi method and have done 9 differential of cutting parameters. This is the purpose for analyzing the cutting surface and to obtain the optimum surface roughness. The optimum parameters were proven based on the prediction by Design Expert software and also experimental run. The parameters were cutting tool type is high speed steel (TiCN coated) [A2], cutting speed = 700 rpm [B1], feed rate 0.1 mm/tooth [C1] and depth of cut 0.5 mm [D1]. In conclusion, the objectives of this project to obtain the optimum cutting parameters for optimum surface roughness were achieved.
