Nowadays exploration to enhance the design of antenna likes to minimize the size of antenna. One of the techniques is a meander line to reduce the size. In this project, that antenna operate at Ultra High Frequency (UHF) band has been designed. The range frequency includes 450 MHz to 470 MHz for handheld radio application. The antenna is a meander line with dual sleeve length antenna. The antenna will be designing using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) that is Microwave CST 2006 / 2008, simulations has been carried out to investigate the antenna’s performance and characteristics. From the simulation results, it has been found that antenna is able to operate at desired resonant frequencies with the specific bandwidth. The antenna is fabricated on a dielectric slab, BST (Barium Strontium Titanate) and also known as Ba1-x Srx TiO3. Simulation results compared with corresponding measurement of fabricated measurement. Then the design has been tested with the Advantest Network Analyzer. Antennas designed and simulated to achieve the best return loss at the desired frequency, which is 470 MHz. This unique property of meander line with dual sleeve has been exploited in order to develop new class of antenna element design that UHF-band for compact in size.en_US
