This project discusses the design of an Ultrasonic Blind Stick that creating to help blind people to walk and do their activities easier. This stick use battery 9V as voltage supply and ultrasonic sensor to detect things around blind people with a range about 2cm to 1m. The distance of any obstacle is measured through ultrasonic waves which can easily understand the blind people that how far they are. Then, this sensor will send a signal to PIC16F877A microcontroller. Microcontroller will receive and analyze the signal according to the distance that had set in programming. After that, LCD will show the distance in centimeters. Finally, the buzzer will beep. The closer the object, the faster the buzzer sounds. By using this stick blind people can easily detect any object which can seriously injured them.en_US
