In manufacturing area, there is one of most complex technological process for machining of bevel gears and hypoid gears with spiral tooth. For these processes, special machine tools designed with complex manuals for calculation the gear geometry and set up process developed. Known technology and design of gear cutting machine tools are based on processes that cutting separately the concave and convex sides of the spiral tooth. This technology is used in the gear manufacturing area around one century. Such engineering solutions have limitations in productivity and quality of the bevel gear machining process. Due to this circumstances, manufacturers of gear cutting machine tools created many modifications one, with different quality of process. Researches and engineers work to find new progressive design of technology and machine tools that can enhance productivity rate and the quality of the gear machining process. This paper presents a new technological approach of machining bevel gears with spiral tooth that can increases productivity rate twice and quality of very complex types of toothed gears. Solution is presented by the invention of new technological process that use two cutters simultaneously for machining two sides of the spiral tooth with correct geometry. New technology needs new design of the cutters, cutters holder, spindle unit and new set up principles of machining process. New design of the cutters need standardization, tachnology and design of manufacturers for machining the gears with spiral tooth.
