Information is a prime resource for the development of a nation. Library or information centers are institutions responsible for meeting information needs of users. The library movement in Bangladesh started during the middle of the last century but the Islamic library concept is absence in that period. Over the last few years a number of Islamic libraries have been established in the country which plays an important role in cultural life of Muslims .Total number of Islamic libraries in Bangladesh is not satisfactory at all but few libraries are good in respect of collections etc. As a result, the networking and resource sharing among the Islamic libraries are essential which can play significant role in case of spreading and maximum uses of Islamic information. This study defines the present scenario of Islamic university libraries & Islamic foundation libraries and focuses different barriers for establishing Islamic library network in Bangladesh. The paper point out the problems and prospects of introducing Islamic library network in Bangladesh and makes some recommendations. The study shows different advantages of Islamic library networking. Besides these, it gives a proposed model for networking & resource sharing among the Islamic libraries in Bangladesh.
