The existence of distributed generation (DG) in distribution system is necessary due to high efficiency and reliable power production. The placement and sizing of DG are selected optimally by optimization of single or multi-objective function under certain constraints. Thus, many researches have been done to find a suitable technique to solve the optimization problem. This paper reviews on the multi-objective optimization method and provides a briefly description of meta-heuristic nature-inspired algorithm that have been used in defining the sources allocation and sizing of DG in distribution system. Finally we will do the summarization on the literature.
