Driven by high economic demand for Harumanis mango (a hybrid of Mangifera indica) both locally and for export, an experiment has been setup to monitor and control micro climate for Harumanis mango in greenhouse for yield monitoring purpose. With the advent of wireless sensor networks (WSN), monitoring and controlling micro climate become more effective and economical. Sensors are attached at and around the trees to monitor the status of the growth and reproductive phases and data collected and transmitted wirelessly to base station to gateway and stored in a database for convenient analysis and control triggering. In this paper the experimental setup for the data collection and effective micro climate control are described.
