    Abstract
In this project, slaughter waste was mixed with the sludge from the Shorubber's industries landfill. Slaughter waste as the food to microbes whereas the sludge use to supply the microbes that go anaerobic digestion. The project is done at 55°C temperature and at the ambient pressure. The temperature was maintained at 55 °C because it is the optimum temperature for anaerobic digestion that involved of thermophilic process. The degradation rate under thermophilic condition is much faster rather than other anaerobic digestion condition. Two compositions of mixtures has been tested by using six parameters to measure and identified the effectiveness of the composition and the parameters are volume of gas produced in 24 hours after feed the slaughter waste, pH of the mixtures, alkalinity, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS), and mixed liquor volatile suspended solids (MLVSS). Before the testing will be done, 40mL of the mixtures in the reactor were sucked by using vacuum machine then the slaughter waste was feed into the reactor as a food. 7 days fermentation process and a few observations can be made from the result. For the composition in ratio 1 : 0.5 between the slaughter waste and sludge that named sample 1, the initial gas produced was very high compared to the Sample 2 in ratio 0.5 : 1. The volume gas produced from sample 1 is about 860 mL to compare with sample 2 about 40 mL. For the MLSS, the result show the decreased of suspended solid amount from 95.54 g/L to 39.22 g/L at day 7 for sample ^ 1 and from 71.71 g/L to 36.04 g/L at day 7 for sample 2.
