dc.description.abstract | Agricultural activities has caused contaminated soil and it becomes high concerns in recent years. Contamination of natural habitats by heavy metals through agricultural activities has the potential to affect the health of organisms and the environment because of the toxicity of these substances and difficulty in their remediation. Thus, this study was conducted to assess the potential of bioremediation in removing heavy metal contain in the soil. Bioremediation is the process of the uses bacteria to reduce the heavy metal contamination in the polluted medium. The main objective of this project is to reduce the concentration of Cr and Cu by using the bacteria isolated from the soil. The bioremediation study were cover up two parameters which is bacteria dosage and pH of the soil. Based on experimental results, the highest percentage of Cr reduction is 100 % while for Cu the highest percentage reduction is 99.8 %. Based on bacteria dosage the higher the dosage the more efficient the bacteria to removing the heavy metal and based on the study the most efficient is 30ml of bacteria dosage. Based on the pH study the bacteria shows that its suitable for all pH of the soil, regarding to the efficiency of the bacteria it more efficient in pH 7 to pH 10. | en_US |
