dc.description.abstractGreen construction is the current and future dominant issues in the world that become the headlines in most of the countries due to the increased world population and issues of global warming. The current practice of the construction industry leads to significant impact on the environment, economy and the society. A comprehensive guide and direction are crucial towards increasing the public awareness and the understanding of the importance of sustainable development practices through green concept and the green construction. Thus, seeks to explore the area of green construction, level of understanding, readiness level of the contractors to adopt the practice and the current green practice of green construction in Perlis. The research methodology adopted for this research includes quantitative data collection by using the questionnaires and sequential explanatory strategy, while the research analysis includes descriptive analysis and statistical analysis for quantitative data collection. Therefore, the research aim is to increase their knowledge about the green construction and also the government should support the green construction in each part of the country, and put the rules or policy that can be understood easier. To promote the green construction among the contractor that applies the green construction should be given the incentives with various kinds to continue their green development.en_US
