    Abstract
The heart is the most important organ in the human body. The malfunctioning of the heart itself can be fatal to one’s life. The heart is built up from a myogenic muscular organ consist of a circulatory system which is responsible for pumping oxygenated and deoxygenated blood throughout the blood vessel by repeated, rhythmic contraction. Heart diseases had become one of the major causes of death throughout the world. Although it is not an infectious disease like HIV/AIDS and TB or a heredity disease like cancer, it still contributes to one of the most deadly disease. The ECG signal serves as a guideline for the detection of heart disease. Therefore, many techniques had been explored and proposed for the signal processing of ECG signal. These techniques include feature extraction and classification process. Filtering is also applied to the ECG signal in order to have smooth and noise free signal. It is seen that for each techniques used depends on the heart disease which wants to be analyzed
