The need to find a cheap alternative building materials and can be used by the public in developing countries and the need to use the waste in a safe condition has attracted engineers and the community to explore the possibility of replacing the concrete waste in lightweight concrete aggregates. This study was conducted to investigate the properties of lightweight concrete using concrete sludge aggregate as coarse aggregate replacement in concrete. Lightweight concrete containing only coarse aggregate, cement and water and cause voids-uniform air voids in the concrete. The nature of the compressive strength, water absorption, and the workability of concrete is studied in this research. The method of this research is carried out by crushing concrete sludge aggregate according to the size of 10 mm to 30 mm, and with the help of a forming agent is mixed into the concrete for lightweight concrete. Samples of concrete is a cube of size 100 mm x 100 mm x 100 mm. Results optimum value for the replacement of concrete compressive strength of waste into the lightweight concrete aggregates is a sample mixture of 50% replacement of waste concrete at 28 days of 23.30 MPa. While the results of water absorption percentage of 100% of concrete sludge aggregate is the highest available absorb water of 17.13%. Experimental results, demonstrating the use of waste concrete to a rate of 50% gives satisfactory results and better than lightweight concrete that uses ordinary aggregate. Conclusions can be drawn is that the concrete sludge aggregate can be used in the production of lightweight foamed concrete.en_US
