dc.description.abstractParticulate matter (PM10) is tiny particles known as dust in the surrounding air. Particles originate from a variety of mobile and stationary sources such as motor vehicles, wood burning stoves and fireplaces, dust from construction, landfills, and agriculture, wildfires and brush/waste burning, industrial sources and the last one is windblown dust from open lands. Particulate matter (PM10) size is below 10microns (<10µm). Because the effect of particulate matter (PM10), this study was conduct. This study focused on the Block B1, Wang Ulu on ground floor, second floor, and fourth floor that the student residential of Universiti Malaysia Perlis. Purpose of this study here to measure the particulate matter (PM10) concentration for vertical profile in state of Perlis because of the present people trend that lives in the high building either for home or office. From this study, the lowest concentration of particulate matter (PM10) is 0µg/m³ and the highest is 104.17µg/m³ which is in the second floor. According to National Ambient Air Quality Standards, particulate matter (PM10) concentration that not exceeds 150µg/m³ (not to be exceeded more than once per year on average over 3 years) a day will be considered safe for human health and not harmful to human life. So, for this three altitude (ground floor, second floor, and fourth floor), there will be safe to lives without compromising to our health.en_US
