dc.description.abstractThis thesis is about the design and development of micro-wind turbine for standalone application. The design will consider the types of generator, rectifier, voltage regulator and energy storage. Several factors including the types of circuit such as series configuration, parallel configuration and series parallel configuration are important to study to ensure the suitable circuit configuration in micro-wind turbine which will the give best voltage and current output. The other factors that involve in this project are wind speed, generator speed, types of rectifier and voltage regulator. These factors are used to determine the output voltage and output current. This project consists of four generators are taken from the modified circuit DC brushless PC cooling fans, four bridge rectifiers, a voltage regulator and an energy storage Data are taken from measurement including a multimeter, an oscilloscope, a tachometer and a anemometer. After that, the data from measurement used to obtain the desired results. In addition, the comparison voltage and current in series configuration, parallel configuration and series parallel configuration are also discussed. At the end of this report, the conclusion about the using micro-wind turbine are also discussed.en_US
