The effect of different loading of waste paper foam based on polyurethane foams was investigated. The investigations cover the following criteria; comparison of three types of waste paper such as paper sludge (PS), old newspaper (ONP) and office white paper (OWP) on physical properties, mechanical properties and morphology of the foams with different filler loading. By comparing of three types of waste paper foam, the ONP foam significantly show the higher value of compressive strength than PS and OWP. Based on the results of the study, show that the increasing filler loading improved the compressive strength but reduce the density of foam. The elastic modulus values for the waste paper foam also increase as the percent of filler loading of waste paper increases. Among this three types of waste paper foam, PS foam is more flexible and has called as the flexible foam while the OWP foam and ONP foam is the rigid foam. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) study indicated that the addition of waste paper in polyurethane foam has reduced the cell foam. From all of micrographs can corroborate to the density results that more filler contain make the foam less dense.
