Soil Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium (NPK) mapping using ArcGIS for Harumanis under greenhouse at Sg.Chuchuh, Perlis
Abstract
Final Year Project (FYP) was carried out to determine the Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium (NPK) for Harumanis under greenhouse at JPB Asia Pacific, Sg Chuchuh Perlis using ArcGIS. The study starts by collecting soil sample in the Greenhouse 03 that planted with Harumanis. This study was focusing on content of NPK because nutrients were important in order to maintain plants in an optimum condition until they were harvested. This study also carried out to generate a simple map using ArcGIS to provide NPK distribution and give information to researcher which is related to the soil research in order to get data of NPK. Through this study have been conducted, the contents of NPK can be determined by ex-situ (experiment in laboratory using standard lab procedure). From the data collected, most of nitrogen contents were not in the optimum condition. While, the phosphorus and potassium contents was adequate due the value of results recorded that >50% plants have more than optimum value both for phosphorus and potassium.
