dc.description.abstractIn this modern and global society, industrial wastewater remediation symbolizes binding problem which need certain understanding and unique solutions. In this research, an extensive experimental study of Fenton oxidation is needed, it is to understand the most suitable and optimal operative conditions in order to be implemented in the real industrial wastewater treatment. The research is carried out to analyze the heavy metal removal from untreated petroleum refinery wastewater. The analysis by Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS) shows significant amount of heavy metal removal, assessing the removal efficiency of the process. In parametric study optimum Fenton’s reagents range ( dosage and dosage) are determined. To understand the role of different reagents in the final results, factorial experiment is performed on the Fenton’s reagent ( and ) which run in Central Composite Design (CCD) based on the Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The data are analyzed in the RSM and from the results; an analytical second order model is developed. From the research, heavy metal removal with = 0.9842 is obtained. In particular, observations on optimal dosage usage, the Fenton reagents are a function of heavy metal removal.en_US
