dc.description.abstract | One of the great challenges in construction field facing nowadays is the management at construction site. To overcome this problem, several studies had been made
to examine the various types of software applications including in the construction field
management. In this study, a software Site Diary designed by Microsoft Excel to use as the site journal in site project management system. The site diary is the basic site management system that provides the information and records the daily activities and the work progress in construction site. The function, Visual Basic for application and Macro in the spreadsheet of Excel is use to design the site diary. The site diary design which few parts which are weather, number of worker, work activities on site, instruction given and received, delays and obstructions of work, materials and machinery, and planned work on next day. This research was made by using the questionnaire to get the view from the construction companies which include contractor and consultant about using the spreadsheet in construct the site diary. From this research, it can be concluded that this site diary form is better made by spreadsheet that can increase the effectiveness in the construction management and most of respondents were agreed about this. With the spreadsheet site diary, the benefits are obvious and the construction site management's effectiveness can be increase. | en_US |
