Rice husk is lignocellulosic substrates which are the agricultural wastes and byproducts of rice hulling plants available in large amount of quantity, cheap and are used to produce glucose. Production of glucose from agro-waste is one way to reduce the abundance of waste on the plantation floor. Enzymatic hydrolysis is one of the easiest ways which help in converting the lignocellulosic materials into functional product that is glucose. The aims of this research are to study the effect of different parameters which are ph (4-6), temperature (35-55 ) and hydrolysis time (3-48 hours) during the glucose production by using cellulase enzyme with 5% of substrate concentration. The glucose produced was analyzed by DNS Method. Central Composite Design (CCD) was used in the design of experiments and analysis of results. The optimal condition for enzymatic hydrolysis is obtained at the maximum glucose produced. Based on the optimum condition for the production of glucose, a mixture solution that has the highest glucose production is at pH of 5.21, with temperature at 43.21 and hydrolysis time of 48 hour, 19.96 g/L glucose is obtained.en_US
