dc.description.abstract | Electromagnetic noise free environments have become popular and inevitable demands due to the increased use of high frequency spectrum by telecommunication accessories. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) noise can couple to any unprotected sensitive system and the victim may lose its intended performance. Presence of noise also obstructs the precise field measurements by increasing the noise level at the receiver port. Electromagnetic (EM) exposure study experiments to investigate the non-ionizing effects of mobile phones base stations are very sensitive and require the noise free environment to assure the accuracy of the results. In this paper an EMI shielded, noise free environment has been proposed and studied experimentally by using the concept of transmission line theory at high frequencies. The proposed shielded environment was studied in the most widely used frequency range of 1700-2600 MHz by different mobile and wireless commercial communication systems .Free field, non-contact field illumination method has been used in this study to measure the attenuation. | en_US |
