dc.description.abstractThe first thought that comes to mind concerning air pollution is related to urban centers where automotive exhausts and the industrial chimneys are the most important sources of atmospheric pollutants. However, in Perlis, the issues about air pollution problems in each year become the main cornerstone of health problems due to factors of sugarcane farm burning at Chuping. It is a major contributor to air pollution in Perlis. "Black Snow" rainy each season of Sugarcane farm burning season . This study focused on issue of health effects where experienced by Perlis people. The scope of this study is minimized for Wang Ulu area only. With the survey method, Sampling particulate matter 10 (PM10) , and collect data from the Department of Health Kangar prove whether Wang Ulu, is still in the safe or harm zone. Once analyzed, the distance factor from combustion sources is a key factor that Wang Ulu location still avoid from high concentrations of particulate matter 10.This situation has promised that the issue of health at Wang Ulu did not occured to the resident. According to the facts, particulate matter will impact on human health if the concentrations of particulate matter in a high level, but rather the concentration of particulate matter at Wang Ulu still at a safe level. This study also showed that the disease like "asthma, Upper Respiratory Tract Infection and conjunctivitis" which occurred to the residents of Wang Ulu is not caused by the burning of sugar cane farm. Genetic factors and environmental problems is also one of the causes according to the disease.en_US
