The main objective of this study was to study a stress distribution in finite element analysis (FEA) and buckling of the engine components, particularly the connecting rod in the Two-Stroke Combustion Engine. This has entailed performing a detailed stress analysis and buckling analysis. Therefore, this study has dealt with two subjects. First part of the study is to determine stress analysis of the connecting rod work similar to real engine. Finite element analysis was performed to obtain the variation of stress distribution at critical locations. The analysis was done with static axial load to 4 conditions in the engine. The results were compared to get the maximum stress. Buckling analysis were done in two condition of stress, the result then has been compared to get the value of buckling force. From this project, it show that maximum stress occur at the pin end of connecting rod and buckling force was determine by calculation of eigenvalue from result analysis.en_US
