An experiment about uniaxial ratcheting of Aluminum was investigated and particular attention was paid to ratcheting behavior under different cyclic loading. The effect of amplitude stress and mean stress on the ratcheting behavior of Aluminum was also analyzed. Before uniaxial ratcheting test is start, a monotonic tension test will be carried out to determine the stress-strain curve characteristic of Aluminum. A series of uniaxial ratcheting tests were conducted by cyclic tension at several step of the maximum to minimum stresses. Three steps for each condition are being done to review their respect performance in predicting the ratcheting strain measured experimentally. The uniaxial ratcheting of the material was found to depend strongly on the value of the mean stress, amplitude stress and on their histories. From the result obtained, it can be summarize that the ratcheting strain and ratcheting rate of Aluminum increases with increasing amplitude stress or mean stress correspondingly.en_US
