A survey - Networked control systems
Abstract
In the recent years the data network usage in a control
system has gained attentions due to its flexible and cost effective
applications. The major challenges in this so-called Networked
Control System (NCS) are the packet losses and network-induced
delay in the control loop. These challenges degrade the NCS
control performance and destabilize the system. To handle these
problems a significant emphasis has been on designing and
developing control methodologies. This paper presents a
overview on NCS structures, description of network delays
including characteristics and its effects, and a detailed survey on
the recent NCS control techniques.
