The citrus family is well known on their antioxidant activity compounds known. The complex world of antioxidant and their diversity have imposed great influence on human well being. Flavonoids are among large group of antioxidants that occurs naturally in living tissues and also an essential nutrient for human health. It has several beneficial properties that have been ascertained and lots more health promoting effect that not yet studied. This paper discusses on flavonones, one of flavonoids compounds that correlated with antioxidant activities in callus culture of pomelo as one strategy to produce natural antioxidants. The aim of this study is to maximize flavonones production in the callus culture by modifying the incubation period and nutrients supply. The flavonones (naringin & hesperidin) are determined by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).en_US
