On derivation of fifth order 2-point Block Backward Differentiation Formula for solving first-order ODEs

Abstract

This method computed the approximate solution at 2-point concurrently with equidistant block. A code is develop and been compared with the classical Backward Differentiation Formula (BDF) method. The numerical results are given to validate the improvement of the method in terms of precision and execution time.
