dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to monitor and identify the cause of dings and dent of stamped automotive parts by looking into the possibility of the stamping lubrication oil degradation by monitoring parameters such as the water content, build up of oxidation products and soot contamination level in the used oil by using the FT-iR. The oil is analyzed using the Attenuated Total Reflectance technique and the FT-iR differential spectrum is then obtained by comparing the intensity of the new lubricant against the used one to reveal the area of change.en_US
