    Abstract
    Oily wastewater has become major problem towards human health and environmental issue. Oil leakage originated from urbanization and industrialization area has contributed to the great amount oil in the aquatic environment, thus threating the natural habitat of marine life. To encounter the problem, several techniques have been introduced to clean up the oil spills on the sea and natural environment. Biological method through adsorption techniques using natural absorbents is the best solution for current oil spills. In this research, the adsorption studies have been conducted to investigate the effectiveness of modified mag rinetized nanoparticles Leucaena Leucocephala leafs of free fatty acid (MNP@PB-FFA) as biosorbents to remove oil from water solution. Mainly, this research was regarding the synthesizing of Leucaena Leucocephala leafs to form magnetized functionalize adsorbent of free fatty acid (MNP@PB-FFA). Characterization study was performed on the functional group using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) analysis and also using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) analysis to analyze morphological structures of adsorbent samples. In addition, the optimized parameter obtained from this experiment was the dosage of adsorbent best perform at 15 mg, contact time of adsorbent at 30 minutes and pH value was determined at pH 6. The experiment also succesfully determine the obvious comparison on oil viscosity between three types of oil which are corn oil, palm oil and lubricant oil. The experiment had proved that lubricant oil have higher viscosity while lower viscosity was the corn oil itself. Higher viscosity remark the higher tendency of oil to easily adsorb by the modified adsorbent. While, the experiment successfully proved the capabilities of adsorbent as recyclable adsorbent. The same capacity oil sorption for three times proved that this adsorbent can be recycled and use back with several step of washing and drying process.
