    Abstract
The disposal of waste tires speaks to a noteworthy issue in the strong waste issue all around the world. Realizing the problems that arise from this, various ways of solving them is highlighted by studying the usage of the vehicles tire rubber to utilized in conctruction material. This research investigates the mechanical properties of tire fiber as adittion materials of the production of concrete to determine the optimum percent substitution capable in order to achieve the optimum strength. The ratio of mix designed used was 1:1:2 (M30) for each samples. The concrete samples produced consists of ordinary concrete (0% fiber) as a control sample and addition of tire fiber percentage of 1%,2% and 3% respectively. Several mechanical tests were conducted on the samples such as slump test, compressive strength test and flexural strength test. 1% addition of tire fiber get the optimum strength in compressive strength. Nevertheless, for flexural strength test, the 2% of fiber can stand the flexural load more than the control sample. The crack at the concrete additional with the tire fiber are less than the normal concrete. The use of tire fiber as a addition material in construction should be encouraged as an environmental protection and reduction in consrtuction cost.
