    Abstract
Concrete is the main part in the construction field the most used in the world, but increase the need of reduction the cost of the concrete due the development of construction field has led to the increased need find replacement of fine aggregate used in concretes mix. The crushing process for stone that lead to produced material. That’s material called quarry dust. This project investigates some properties of quarry dust and discussed the possibility of quarry dust to become as replacement by sand in concrete mix. The characteristics of quarry dust that were identified are particle size distribution and specific gravity. In addition, slump for 25%, 50% and 75% of replacement by fine aggregate in concrete mix standard design according to Bs 1881-116, 1983. overall there are 36 cubes had been made consist of 9 test cubes have 0 % of quarry dust which mix based on standard mix and another 27 test cubes consist 25%, 50% and 75% of replacement of quarry dust with compression strength for 7, 14 and 28 curing days, the cubs with quarry dust percentage were compared with those of concrete made with natural fine aggregates. For flexural strength test there are 12 beams had been made consist of 3 test beams have 0% of quarry dust and another 27 test beams based on the percentage that had been made in the lab which is 25%, 50%, 75% of quarry dust after curing for 28 days.
