    Abstract
In this current method for pulping industries, the cellulose was obtained by a several conventional method which is Kraft pulping, sulphite pulping, and organosolvent pulping in the paper making industries. However these all conventional method can contribute to the disadvantages especially for environment. Therefore this study was came out with new solution for pulping process as an alternative solvent which is deep eutectic solvent (DES). In this research the suitable DES was formulated to use in optimization study in order to get the maximum cellulose yield from pulping process. For the optimization study, the Response surface method which is face centered composite design (FCCCD) was used to recognized and focusing the optimum condition for high yield of cellulose content from pulping process. Then the FTIR analysis was used to recognize the structure of treated and untreated paddy straw. From that, the 1:7 potassium glucerol was formulated successfully for the best DES selected. The desirable condition suggested by the design was temperature 140℃, ratio of amount solvent use to paddy straw was 11:1 and the cooking time was 110 minutes with 47.92g/L as the optimize cellulose concentration but the higher cellulose concentration was temperature 160℃ ,time 60 minutes and ratio 11: 1 with cellulose content 105.83g/L.Then the FTIR analysis showed the treated paddy straw have low amorphous crystalline structure compared to the untreated by indicating based on the crystalline index value. This show the pre-treatment was succeed.
