Efficient microwave rectifier at GSM and ISM band
Abstract
The rectifier efficiency has a large effect on overall system efficiency. Optimization
of the voltage doubler stages in an energy conversion for Radio Frequency system at 900 MHz and 2.45 GHz. The function of the energy conversion module is to convert the RF signals into (direct current) DC voltage at the given frequency band to power the low
power circuit. The designed rectifier has a special configuration providing sensitivity at
low RF input levels.
The analysis for an ideal rectifying device is derived to predict efficiency
dependence on optimal DC load. A voltage Schottky diode devices and doubler circuit will be designed and will be modulated, simulated, and tested. Simulations and measurements have been performed for various input power levels in the designated frequency bands. Implementation on standard FR4 board, this device is dedicated to frequency of 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz. Output reading almost scored the match between simulation and measurement results.
