dc.description.abstract | This paper focuses on the conflicts that occur in discussion among secondary school students. The objectives were to investigate and discuss the types of conflict that were present. The sample comprised fifteen subjects from a secondary school who were divided into small groups and then given a topic for discussion. The subjects were given the chance to raise any conflict that was encountered during their discussion. The results of the study reveal that this type of discussion helped subjects to become actively involved in dialogues and increased their confidence towards learning. It is hoped that future studies will focus on the advantages of conflict in discussion among learners. | en_US |
