Based on the information given by the PDRM, cars which have been stolen can be found fast if the owner reports it by the first hour of the incident. Result shows that 85% chances of catching the thief and obtaining the car intact if the vehicle owner reports their vehicle stolen immediately so that police can perform a road block and their car can be found. Knowing this, a “SMS Based Car Security and Location Finder System” is developed. This system acts as a car security system cum location finder by means of Short Messaging Service (SMS). This system uses three types of sensors to detect if the car is being stolen which is by metal sensor, magnetic sensor and vibration sensor. This system also detects the whereabouts of the car in around the crowded parking area and also for the purpose of checking whether the car is still in the parking lot. This system is an ease for the absent minded users.en_US
