A wind turbine is a machine that converts wind's kinetic energy into rotary mechanical energy, which is then utilize to perform a certain work. In more advanced models, the rotational energy is converted into electricity and the most versatile form of energy, by using a generator. If the mechanical energy is used directly by machinery, such as a pump or grinding stones, the machine is usually called a windmill. In this system there are two types of wind turbine. They are horizontal axis wind turbine and vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT). Vertical axis machines operate independently in the wind direction while the vertical axis wind turbine has the main rotor shaft arranged vertically. The key advantages of this arrangement are the turbine does not need to be pointed into the wind to determine effectiveness. The concept of this project is quite simple. When the fan moves by the wind; the vertical shaft will start to rotate and thus electromagnetic will be generated. Hence, electric energy will be produced. This can be shown by meter reading in ampere unit. The quantity that produced can be read by meter and regulator will be moving by amount of current and automatically the bulb will be lightened. By increasing the current produced, bulb with high volt also can be lightening. In this project, the design of blade is more important aspects to make sure that vertical axis wind turbine is functioning effectively.en_US
