A comparison study on deposition technique between spin coating technique and new route coating which is inkjet printing technique have been studied in this research paper. The FTO material for both deposition techniques were prepared by a common mixture technique between precursor solution of SnCl.5H2O and NH4F as a doping agent. The prepared samples were coated on the glass substrate sized 20mm x 25mm and were calcined at 450oC. The coating process using spin coater and inkjet printer were done at ambient temperature and have been characterized by using XRD, XPS, VP-SEM, UV-VIS and others analysis. From the VP-SEM, the result shows that the different surface morphology between the two techniques. Samples prepared by spin coater shows the existence some kind of crystal shape on the substrate and by using inkjet printing, shows the less crack and fine grain thin film. XPS analysis shows the existence of FTO elements such as Sn 3d5/2 as Sn 4+, O1s as oxygen linkage, F1s as fluorine with corresponding signal at binding energy were found at 486.6eV, 530.5 eV and 685.1eV. The optical properties were found around 86 % for spin coating and 91 % for inkjet printing.
