Productivity rate mathematical model analysis and development of graphical user interface (GUI) for linear arrangement with serial action automated flow line
Abstract
This research is to design a PALSAS for productivity rate in a linear arrangement with serial action automated flow line. Productivity is an important criterion for a manufacturing industry, so a method to measure, analysis, forecast and improvement
are very important. When calculating for the productivity rate, it also needs a model to calculate its result, but recently most of the research has been using the current mathematical model to calculate for it. It also will be the major finding of this research.
So PALSAS will be designed by using MATLAB. Then applied the mathematical model to the PALSAS to measure productivity rate, because the previous manually calculation mathematical model method is waste of time and energy. Then this current
mathematical model is the lack of validation. In order to solve the problems, this study is explained in three objectives. Then it highlight on how to achieve the research objective by using methodology method The first objective is to test the feasibility for
current mathematical model by using Data collection, Calculation and Analysis (DCA) methodology. All the data collection is collected from MODENAS industry in model of DYNAMIC production successfully applied in this mathematical model by achieving 90% accuracy. Then the second objective is to design a PALSAS to calculate for productivity rate by using MATLAB. Then the second methodology is to solve the problems for a complicated of manually calculating by design a PALSAS. Then this
PALSAS is developed to measure the productivity rate and losses that failed to boost the profits or achieve customer demand. Lastly, the third aim is to make a validation for PALSAS It achieved by using the last methodology method which is making a
comparison between the result of current mathematical model and PALSAS. The result is measured out can be achieved nearly 100% with the result of manual calculation.
