dc.description.abstract | STEP-NC applies to Computer Numerical Control
(CNC) system. It is a new method to transfer data between CAM and CNC systems. It has gain worldwide consensus as an International Standard of Organization has established a new data model ISO 14649 on 2006. By implementing STEP-NC, profitable and intelligent manufacturing are very convincing, where G & M code will become obsolete. STEP-NC is enhancement of STEP paradigm. It will overcome the downside of G & M code which has a thousand line of code but none of them define the machining process. The objective of STEP-NC is to possible data is transfer globally and can be
shared to anyone at anytime as data is standard. However until today, there is no native STEP-NC CNC system is built. Although it has been a few years Standard for STEP-NC has establish, the implementation to industries is quit slow. It is due to many reasons involve CNC vendor, manufacturer,
CAM designer and users. The specific aim of this research is to develop software for STEP-NC compliant machine. This machine will able to generate STEP-NC code for machining a
