Thermal behaviour of conjugated perfect and imperfect contact under the effect of the dual-phase lag conduction model
Abstract
The transient thermal behavior of conjugated
perfect and imperfect contact under the effect of the dualphase-lag heat conduction model is investigated numerically. The heat transfer mechanisms during rapid heating of twolayer composite slabs from a macroscopic point of view using the dual-phase-lag heat conduction model is studied. The composite slabs consist of two thin metal layers which may be in perfect and imperfect thermal contact. The effects of different parameters, such as the thermal diffusivity ratio, phase-lag in temperature gradient, and Biot number are investigated.
