Boiling heat transfer has received considerable attention during the past decade, the impetus for the increased effort coming from modern developments in technology. The heat transfer to a water droplets impacting on a hot surface is used for various purposes such as cooling processes in steel production industries and emergency core cooling in nuclear power plants. In this experimental study, an investigation on the evaporation boiling curve using stainless steel is carried out. The aims are to study the droplet evaporation boiling curve and to obtain the critical heat flux point and Leidenfrost point of stainless steel. These two points in droplet evaporation boiling curve are very important in heat transfer study. This is due to these two points can be referenced if any further investigation is carried out. Since the long evaporation lifetime is undesirable in the cooling system in thermal application, improvement can make to reduce the evaporation lifetime of the stainless steel. This will be very useful to the industry.en_US
