dc.description.abstract | Studies were made to identify the characteristics of the textile wastewater and the operating parameter that affect for the Fenton treatment in the textile wastewater were
assessed. The three variable considered in this process are concentration of H2O2,
concentration of Fe2+ and the reaction time. The Central Composite Design from the Design of Expert was used to identify the relationship of the three parameters towards
the removal of the colour in the textile wastewater. Then 20 experiments, with 3 factors
and 2 level for each factor were designed. To get the optimum condition with the
highest removal of the colour, the concentration of Fe2+ and H2O2 were selected at
minimum dosage. The results indicated that optimum conditions for the removal of
colour were at 145.82 mM for H2O2 concentration, 9.62 mM for Fe2+ concentration and
83.92 minute for reaction time. The highest percentage removal of the colour are
98.18%. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) and regression with R2 values of 0.9707
for the removal of the colour indicated that the result achieved from the experiments are
near the predicted values | en_US |
