dc.description.abstract | The main objective of this project is to study the effect of temperature on morphology of precipitate calcium magnesium carbonate. This examine involves the utility of different temperature for carbonation process as a way to examine the morphology and
distribution of particle below precise temperature. The effect of temperature turned into recognized via evaluating morphology of particles in three different range of
temperature which representing media of low temperature, moderate temperature and
high temperature. Moreover, the effect of mineral composition and morphology of
dolomite in the course of precipitation method were characterized by means of scanning
electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses The phase of the
polymorphs formed while dolomite precipitate at lower temperature with stirring rate of
1200-1400 rpm. It is provides a temperature and carbonate alkalinity are mainly key
physicochemical parameters to form dolomite precipitation. Improved temperature in
extra of a 100°C are required to precipitate a well ordered dolomite. At regular
temperature of 25°C, the includes of calcium is high even as magnesium contains is
very low. This research became also carried out to analyze the impact of calcination
conditions consisting of temperature, holding time and heating rate on the calcined
dolomite. Reactivity of dolime (CaOMgO) refers back to the extent and the rate of
hydration there of to calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) and magnesium hydroxide
(Mg(OH)2) using water as hydrating agents. The outcomes show that calcination
temperature and holding time affects directly to the reactivity of dolime (CaOMgO). | en_US |
