dc.description.abstract | The final year project has evaluated an isolated forward converter with a review to future development of a laboratory teaching unit. The report contains a review/study of isolated forward converter operation and historical development for the transformer reset process. The project provides detailed operational waveforms of a typical isolated forward converter. The project correlates the waveform results with basic theory. The project makes recommendations for the future development of the circuit to include variable duty cycle and variable frequency operation in order to a laboratory teaching module. | en_US |
