The project is about to construct a tiles as a tools for piezoelectric energy harvesting device using a footsteps as its mechanism. Piezoelectric is one of renewable energy. It can generate electricity using footsteps by vibration concept. The harvested energy is converted into electricity and transferred to a battery as energy storage. The piezoelectric will applied to the tiles of shopping complex or places with crowded people because the pressure and vibration from the footsteps of crowded people can generate some electricity. Its works when the stress placed on the piezoelectric. When install this piezoelectric under the tiles that people walking on it, the footsteps give the stress to the piezoelectric and the voltage will be generated as long as the peoples walking on the tiles. Then it will generate the voltage to recharge backup battery use for small power application. The output of piezoelectric is not constant and varying. From the recorded data, the value of voltage and current increase when the human footsteps on the floor increase. In addition, this project is not harm and eco-friendly which is suitable to installed in crowded places.en_US
