The ability to classify distinctive odor pattern for aromatic plants species provides significant impact in several industries such as food industry and medical industries. Each plant species has a unique physicochemical and a distinctive odors. This project emphasizes on the techniques of identifying plant species via its odors. The system consist multi-sensor gas array which detects gas through an increase in electrical conductivity when gases are absorbed on the sensor's surface. The output from individual sensors are processed and displayed on the android device. The android device receive data from sensor via a microcontroller which is known as IOIO. IOIO is a microcontroller that can easily be controlled by android application. From the results, this system has the ability to detect several type of plant accordingly. Accuracy in classifying the correct plant species increases with the number of sensors used.en_US
