Advertisement is the best way to communicate and interact to the customers which helps to aware and draw the attention of prospective customers. For an advertisement to be effective, the information need to be delivered to the right people at right time and the right place. In some scenarios, the advertisements that advertise on the board are not up to date with items that available in the mall. The existing electronic billboards are a stand-alone type which needs the retailers to study and have the knowledge to handle the system inside the billboard in order to update the advertisement. The purpose of this project is to develop a prototype of an indoor electronic billboard to connect multiple client, which allows different client display different adverts based on the locality of the client. The prototype can display the advertisements images of a specific mall/shop lot area. The images will be displayed one after another at a specified rate. The system allows updating of adverts to be done on a centralize host, which ease maintenance as compared to standalone electronic billboard. To achieve the above functionality some development tools and open source API are used in the project. Namely Simple Direct Media Layer (SDL) and ImageMagick API are used to display the Images in proper format and size. Linux scripting and signals programming are used to control execution of the images. Sharing of the images between the target system and theen_US
